“You know, some people say life is short and that you could get hit by a bus at any moment and that you have to live each day like it’s your last. Bullshit. Life is long. You’re probably not gonna get hit by a bus. And you’re gonna have to live with the choices you make for the next fifty years.”—Richard Cooper (Chris Rock in I think I love my wife)
Springing back to life from 2009’s Oohs & Aahs, Say Hi (the moniker of 33-year-old Eric Elbogen) will release a new record on January 25th. “Devils” was just premiered over at SPIN and I can’t get enough of it. Unfortunately, I’ll have to wait another couple of months until I can get my hands on a physical copy of the LP. On a little side note: I’m enjoying his step away from pastel colored artwork towards what seems to be darker pastures. Anyways, you can pre-order your copy of Um, Uh Oh from Barsuk Records.
Kid Cudi is back, and with only a year between records I’ve realized that I missed him way more than most artists that I follow today. Not hyped too much, his second album Man On The Moon II: Legend Of Mr. Rager is darker and even more creatively spread out than his first entry. Some people are criticizing that second point but for me that’s great news.
