Last week was a great week for pop culture / geek related artshows ! After the great Mike Mitchell artshow by Mondo in Texas, here is a little review of what happened in Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles last friday : an artshow entirely dedicated to JJ Abrams’ work ( and his production society Bad Robot). You know, JJ Abrams, the guys who made little success like Alias, Lost, Super 8, Cloverfield, Star Trek… A LOT of artworks were shown at the great Gallery 1988, and here is my selection. Enjoy !
La semaine dernière, c’était un peu LA semaine d’expo pop-culture / Geek-Art. Après l’extraordinaire expo de Mike Mitchell à la galerie Mondo d’Austin (dont je ne me remets toujours pas), voici l’expo organisée par Gallery 1988 de Los Angeles. Une expo entièrement consacrée au travail de JJ Abrams et de sa société de production Bad Robot. Mais si, JJ Abrams, le ptit gars qui a eu des petits succès comme Alias, Lost, Super 8, Cloverfield, Star Trek… Il y avait BEAUCOUP d’oeuvres exposées vendredi dernier, mais voici ma petite sélection. I drew this Superman and Batman drawing because I couldn’t think of anything I possibly wanted to draw. The whole idea was to just redo an old drawing which I would post here as well in a photoset but uh… nah… Anyways, thanks for looking.
